POCO has developed post synthesis modifications
to make our graphites more suitable to specific conditions.
As a producer of highly technical, specialty materials,
POCO also offers design engineering support, precision
machining, and material testing. Diverse applications
include precision parts, graphite filters for blood
dialysis machines, graphite electrodes and heating
elements.
The compatibility of carbon and graphite with
human tissues and bodily fluids have allowed POCO materials
to be used in a variety of implants. Applications include
artificial heart valves, dental mounts, cancer treatment
devices and blood analysis devices. |
