Ultrasound

Combining material property control with impregnations, we produce graphite that allows designers to tailor the transmission of ultrasonic frequencies to their application needs.

The fields of ultrasonic inspection and imaging are growing rapidly due to improved sensitivity, low relative cost, and increased safety of modern transducers.

Through material property control combined with our impregnations, we produce graphite for matching layers that exhibit a range of ultrasonic impedance, allowing designers to tailor the transmission of ultrasonic frequencies to their application needs.

Modern transducers are also producing high heat loads. Our HTC material is used by manufacturers to rapidly pull this heat from the transducer and away from sensitive materials or tissues while simultaneously providing necessary signal attenuation at the back of the transducer. The combination of light weight, high thermal conductivity, and ultrasonic dampening create the ideal solution for medical ultrasound transducers, providing high performance and comfortable use.
